A local stationery store helps people find the perfect paper in a new location

Save-the-dates, invitations and thank you notes set the mood for a wedding. They are the first and last impressions guests have of the big day and Kristen Folzenlogen, owner of Poême and Letter Heads, Ltd., brings them in style from her stores in Hyde Park and MainStrasse Village in Covington, KY. However, MainStrasse was not the original home of Letter Heads, Ltd.
The store, which is one of four businesses making up The Bridal Studio, was located in the Covington Wedding District on Madison Avenue. Letter Heads, Ltd., Brideface, Courtenay Lambert Florals & Events and Bluebird Photography are all in business together as The Bridal Studio. They all took their businesses to MainStrasse. Folzenlogen says the new location puts the store at the heart of shopping and dining in the outdoor shopping center: “It has a more lively atmosphere than the old location; there are more people walking by so there is more foot traffic,” she says.
Folzenlogen listed several reasons for the move. The store now benefits from increased exposure,” she says. “People know MainStrasse Village. It is more wedding centric, there is more access to the general public and our events are more accessible to the people,” she says.
Letter Heads, Ltd. hosts events like the Bitter Bridesmaid Bash, which takes place every year in September. Folzenlogen notes that the event does not specifically feature items only for weddings.
The move has allowed Folzenlogen to expand her inventory. “We wanted to do more retail,” she says. Now the store carries more for weddings and for everyday. So the next time a birthday, wedding or any type of event calls for the perfect stationery, a trip to MainStrasse is in order.
